SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by the Christ Lutheran <br /> Church of Lodi to conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for their <br /> new religious facility to be located at 13021 North Elderberry Court, Lodi, California <br /> (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br /> cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br /> been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist, <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> The proposed project is a neighborhood church with a maximum seating capacity of 195 <br /> people. The project will involve the construction and use of a 5,290 square foot <br /> multipurpose building and the use of an existing 2,746 square foot residence as a <br /> parsonage. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 058-050-17. The parcel is <br /> approximately ten acres in size. The County project application number is PA-0900293. <br /> The Site currently contains a residence and a small barn (Plate 2). One domestic water <br /> well and one septic system serve the needs of the residence. A recent aerial <br /> photograph of the property is included as Plate 3. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 25 to 27 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat <br /> (Plate 4). <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> (www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the subject property is zoned AG-40, general agriculture <br /> with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This zoning designation "is established to <br /> preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> LOGE 1124 Page 1 <br />
