Eleventh St., Tracy
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has completed the
review of the Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study, dated November 19, 2004, prepared
by Neil O. Anderson and Associates, and has the following comments for your
consideration.
Prior to EHD approval of any building permits, a revised plot planmust be submitted for
review. The revised plot plan must address the items noted below.
• The current plot map shows the area reserved for the septic system to be 9000
square feet. The actual area is approximately 5400 square feet. The revised site
map must show the correct area being reserved for the onsite system and the
100%replacement.
• . Include a layout, drawn to scale, of the filter bed system to be installed and the
100% future repair area. State on the revised plans the number of residents,
employees and customers the system is being designed for. Also show how the
leach field will be barricaded so it cannot be driven over, parked on, or used as a
r storage area. t ,
• The report recommends the use of two 2000-gallon septic tanks for the project.
Please indicate the septic tanks sizes on the revised plot map.
• Show the location of all neighboring wells located within 100 feet of the project
site on the revised plot plan.
► The results of the nitrate loading calculations indicate there will be a nitrate impact to
groundwater from the wastewater discharge. As a mitigation measure,Neil O. Anderson
& Associates recommends the installation of two inches of garden compost or peat below
