0
Ocotober 1,2013
Isak's Auto Detail and Car Wash
7870 W. I Ph Street
Tracy, CA 95304
RE: Liquid waste plan check for Isak's Auto Detail and Car Wash
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has received and
reviewed your liquid waste plan check. The EHD is requiring the following issues to be
revised:
1) The facility site plan is not properly scaled for to show exact locations of existing
septic system components (septic tank, pump station, distribution box, and filter-
bed). The facility site plan shows the proposed laundry building is to be placed
over the location of the existing septic tank and underneath the existing canopy.
Also, there are two existing canopies not shown on the site plan. Survey and
provide a revised site plan to show exact locations of all site improvements,
including septic system components, and existing canopies.
2) The facility site plan is required to designate an area equal to 100%of the existing
septic system leach field for future repair/replacement. Provide revised site plan
showing location of 100% replacement area for future repair/replacement of
septic system leach field.
6
3) The facility site plan does not provide wastewater volume calculations. The site
plan proposes to accept the discharge of additional wastewater from two laundry
machines. The wastewater of one laundry machine can range from 15-20 gallons
per wash for high efficiency use, and up to 40 gallons per wash for conventional
use. The proposed laundry machines will use fresh water and contribute
additional wastewater that can possibly exceed storage tank capacity (1000
gallons). Provide wastewater volume calculations per day for the proposed
laundry machines and the expected tank pump out rate.
NOTE: It is acceptable to connect the laundry machines to the existing septic
system. However, the EHD will evaluate the designed capacity of the existing
septic system to determine if repairs or additions are needed to meet FI-TD sewave
