The property is approximately 155.17 acres in size
and is presently used for pasture. Mr. Joe Murphy of Dillon and Murphy Engineering in Lodi,
4 requested that our office conduct a deep percolation test on each parcel to satisfy a
1 requirement of the Environmental Health Department for siting new residential septic systems.
The percolation test hole locations are shown on the attached parcel map. We understand that
{ Dillon and Murphy had already drilled shallow holes on the site prior to our office conducting
1 .
dee percolation testing.
.9
Several soil borings were drilled on each parcel. On June 27, 2008 sail borings were drilled on
l Jeach parcel using atruck-mounted deep rock drilling rig with a 4-inch diameter auger. The
,
borings were drilled to a depth of approximately three and a half feet (3.5) and 10 feet, at
which depth the rig underwent auger refusal due to cemented clays, gravels and some cobbles.
F Our office began the percolation testing of these borings on June 28, 2008 and cancelled the
tests because of standing water still remaining in the hole after presoaking 24 hours prior. No
movement was observed.
` Our office returned on August 11, 2008 with a track mounted deep rock drilling rig with a 4-inch 0113
diameter auger in order to penetrate the difficult soils, A soil boring to a depth of approximately
25 feet was drilled on each parcel. No groundwater was encountered in any of the test borings.
Please see the following tables for more details regarding the percolation test holes and
I information regarding the soils encountered in the borings. The soils were comparable in each
boring.
F
ANGELS CAMP - LODI MODESTO - RENO • SACRAMENTO - WALNUT CREEK
L 0 0 1 902 Industrial Way Lodi,CA 95240 - 209.367.3701 - FAX 209-369-4228 - www.noanderson.com
