PA-1100059 OF WOODBRIDGE FIRE <br /> DISTRICT (APN: 005-130-11; ADDRESS: 25414 N. EUNICE AVENUE, <br /> ACAMPO) <br /> This project is a Use Permit application for a new 149-foot high public safety agency <br /> radio communication tower and 300 square foot equipment shelter cabinet. The project <br /> location for the communication tower is the Woodbridge fire station, in Acampo. The <br /> General Plan designation is Rural Residential (RIR) and the zoning is Rural Residential <br /> (R-R). <br /> The Community Development Department has reviewed the application and offers the <br /> following comments: <br /> Land Use and Height <br /> The site plan indicates that the tower will be 149-feet tall and of a lattice-type <br /> construction. The nearest residence on an adjoining property is 150 feet. <br /> The 149-foot tower complies with the Development Title Section 9-1065.4[d] that <br /> requires "new freestanding support structures to be located a distance equal to at least <br /> the height of the said structure from residential structures on adjoining properties." <br /> Development Title Section 9-1065.4[a] states that "unless shown to not be feasible by <br /> the applicant, any new freestanding support structure for wireless telecommunication <br /> shall be a monopole" and Development Title Section 9-1065.4[b] states that `new <br /> freestanding support structures shall be the minimum height required for wireless <br /> telecommunication." <br /> Please provide a written response that justifies the lattice-type construction and the <br /> proposed height.
