Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> No septic systems are located on the Site. J <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> No new construction is planned for the Site at this time. However, County regulations <br /> permit a primary residence and a second dwelling unit to be placed on the numbered <br /> parcel at some point in the future. Any new residences would utilize new septic <br /> systems. <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> No septic system permits for the Site were identified at the San Joaquin Countyi2 j <br /> Environmental Health Department. <br /> Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity <br /> To estimate the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic <br /> systems that exist within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air <br /> photo imagery from GoogleEarthTM was used. Each building cluster on the photo was <br /> assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that five or more <br /> septic systems per square mile are present in the immediate vicinity of the Site. <br /> l <br /> The general area consists of walnut and cherry orchards and open agricultural land, <br /> with scattered rural residences. <br /> Septic Permit History in the Vicinity <br /> Based on a recent review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, most septic systems in the <br /> area utilize leach lines or leach lines with seepage pits. One permit indicated leach <br /> lines with sumps. The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of this report. <br /> Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage <br /> Maximum expected septic usage on the Site would be from any future residential uses. <br /> No construction is planned at this time. Septic system design should be based on the 3,? <br /> On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards (2003) or other engineering recommendations. <br /> LOGE 1209 Page 2 <br />
