CLAUDE C WOOD CO. PROPERTY
Page No. 2
IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
As indicated there are no structures on Parcel 1 nor are there any structures or residences proposed.
However, if a residence is constructed at some future time it will most likely be located along the edge of the
bluff at the southeast corner of the parcel. This residence would likely utilize a on site sewage disposal system.
There are several neighbors around this location. Three of them were interviewed and that information is
presented next:
OWNER: Ed Wardrobe
ADDRESS: 22560 2nd St, Clements.
LOCATION: 30 yards south of TP location.
AGE OF HOUSE: 30+ years, septic system same.
SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes,possibly consists of an open bottom septic tank or cesspool. Lately the system has
been slow. Is presently staring new leach line construction.
OWNER: Carmella Davis
ADDRESS: 18595 Hwy 88
LOCATION: 100 yds S and slightly W of TP location.
AGE OF HOUSE: 45 years.
SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, originally consisted of septic tank only but 5 years ago added a leach line. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND TESTING
According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth to Water in Wells" published spring of 1990 by the
San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, the depth to groundwater at this location
is between 130 and 140 feet.
There are no operating wells on the subject property. The residences that border the southeastern
portion of the parcel are on a common city well. The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
did not require any testing of the ground water,
VI. SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTS
A test pit was excavated to a depth of 10.0 feet to determine the soil profile in the area where a septic
system would likely be located. The test pit was excavated with a Cat 416 backhoe equipped with a 24 inch
bucket. Visual classification of each soil stratum encountered was made in the field by a civil engineer at the
time the test pit was excavated. A description of the soil encountered in the test pit is contained in the Appendix
as Log of Test Pit. For approximate location of the test pit (TP) see the Tentative Parcel Map in the Appendix.
?pERSO
P 'tom
Z
4 P
S 5 0 C
