The sampling and testing shall be done by State certified <br /> laboratory personnel at a State approved laboratory facility. Instruct the laboratory <br /> to label the samples "Well"and to obtain them from the wellhead. <br /> a. Seconds (aesthetics): Bicarbonate, carbonate, and hydroxide alkalinity, calcium, <br /> iron, magnesium, manganese,pH, sodium, and total hardness are due at least once <br /> (California Code of Regulations (CCR}, Title 22, Section 64449). <br /> b. Inorganic chemicals: Fluoride is due at least once (CCR, Title 22 Section 64 <br /> — , 432 <br /> Nitrate: If the results are over % of the MCL,then quarterly monitoring for one year <br /> will be required.,Otherwise, monitoring is annually (CCR, Title 22, Section <br /> 64432.1). <br /> d. Nitrite: If the results are over '/2 of the MCL, then quarterly monitoring for one year <br /> will be required. Otherwise, monitoring is once every three years (CCR, Title 22, <br /> Section 64432.1). <br /> e. Bacteriological: The EHD will require at least two consecutive bacteriological <br /> samples that are Total Coliform Absent and Fecal Absent. The tests shall be taken <br /> and reported within a seven day period and in no case be more than twenty-eight <br /> (28) days prior to use of the each well. Routine bacteriological samples will then be <br /> required once each calendar quarter. <br /> 10. Submit the driller's well log the well to the EHD and an updated technical report <br /> as required by the Health and Safety(H&S) Code, Section 116530. <br /> 11. Submit the manufacturer's specification sheets for the well pumps and storage <br /> tanks including g the pump curve data sheets. <br /> 12. Complete and submit the enclosed Well Data Sheet. <br /> 13. Complete and submit the enclosed Sample Siting Plan for bacteriological <br /> sampling. Please contact this office for assistance in completing this form. <br /> 14. Complete and submit the enclosed TMF Capacity Assessment Form to this office I <br /> for review. According to the California Health and Safety Code section 116540, <br /> "no public water system that was not in existence on January 1, 1998, shall be <br /> granted a permit unless the system demonstrates to the Department that the water <br /> supplier possesses adequate financial,managerial, and technical capacity to assure <br /> the delivery of pure, wholesome, and potable drinking water.
