I <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by John Shoup of Shoup <br /> Land Surveying to conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the for the Eger property located <br /> at 151 West and 751 East Forest Lake Road, Acampo, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proi2osed Development <br /> i <br /> It is proposed to split the Site into one 5-acre homesite parcel (Parcel 2), one <br /> approximately 85.55-acre parcel (Parcel 1), and a 211.25-acre designated remainder <br /> (Plate 2). No changes in land use are .planned. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is an approximately 302-acre property, Assessor's Parcel Numbers (APNs) <br /> 003-130-01 and 003-120-02. It consists primarily of vineyard, with an area of crop or <br /> pasture land at the north. A residence, garage, barn, two shade structures, two shops, <br /> two storage sheds, an agricultural pond, a domestic well, and three irrigation wells are (� <br /> located on the Site. Dry Creek defines the northern property line, which is also the <br /> County line. The County project application number is PA-0900192. A recent aerial <br /> photograph of the Site is included as Plate 3. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 40 feet above mean sea level. The ground surface in the area is <br /> relatively flat; the northern portion of the Site, near Dry Greek, is lower than the rest <br /> (Plate 4). <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This <br /> zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> LOGE1024 Page 1 <br />
