1
-Past Uses of the Site
Based on historical aerial photographs available through the San Joaquin County
District Viewer, it appears that vineyard was planted on the Site in 1999 or 2000; the (2- " 1
Site was previously irrigated pasture or crop land.
Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
One septic system is present on the Site to serve the existing residence.
Proposed Septic System
No new septic systems are proposed.
On-Site Septic Permit History
Three permits for septic systems on the Site were identified at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department. The first permit, dated December 19, 1962 was for
the addition of a seepage pit to an existing residential septic system. The second
permit, dated December 27, 1963, was for the installation of a septic system at a trailer.
The third permit; dated October 28, 1999, was for the destruction of a residential septic
system. The permits are attached in Appendix 4.
Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
To determine the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic
systems that exist approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo
.imagery from GoogleEarthTm was used. Each building cluster on the photo was
assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, we determined that a minimum
of five septic systems per square mile are present in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general area consists of agricultural land. A large dairy is located to the north of
the Site, across Dry Creek.
Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on a recent review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, the septic systems in the area
appear to utilize leach lines with seepage pits. The septic permits can be found in
Appendix 4 of this report.
LOGF-1024 Page 2
f
