Mr. Garibaldi indicated that his company product does not require USDA approval, but there are <br /> certain products that his company can package that are for exporting that may require USDA <br /> certification. Mr. Garibaldi indicated that they were working with USDA to get the facility <br /> certified. <br /> Mr. Garibaldi said that his company would like to develop a line of consumer products. <br /> Mr. Borges asked Mr. Garibaldi if his product would require more employees. Mr. Garibaldi <br /> said no. <br /> Mr. Borges discussed Environmental Health issues. He said that they may need to add an above <br /> ground pond, and may need Regional Waters approval. Mr. Borges informed Mr. Garibaldi that <br /> he needs to find out if a waste stream to the existing pond was permitted. Mr. Borges also said <br /> that there is a well that needs to be repaired. <br /> Mr. Karam asked Mr. Garibaldi what the existing use is. Mr. Garibaldi said the existing use now <br /> is agricultural. Mr. Karam asked if the facility would be open 24-hours a day and if it was <br /> seasonal. Mr. Garibaldi said for the almonds and walnuts yes, it is seasonal. With the new Use <br /> Permit the facility would run on five to twelve day cycles 24-hours per day then it would be shut <br /> down for sanitation purposes. Mr. Van Buren asked how long would the facility be shut down <br /> between cycles. Mr. Garibaldi said that right now it is two weeks in between cycles. When they <br /> get to where they want it to be the facility will be shut down approximately two to three days in <br /> between cycles. Mr. Garibaldi said that the existing operation operates from August through <br /> December. Mr. Karam asked if the operation would run year round. Mr. Garibaldi said yes. <br /> Mr. Karam and Mr. Garibaldi discussed Department Public Works conditions. <br /> Mr. Karam indicated that Mr. Garibaldi needs to clarify on the amount of employees, and periods <br /> of time of operation. Mr. Karam said that Public Works needs to know the correct amount of <br /> trips. Mr. Karam explained the Road Dedication to Mr. Garibaldi. Mr. Karam said that the <br /> Department of Public Works will also need a copy of the Final Site Plan. <br /> Mr. Garibaldi said that he has been in touch with Alison Hudson of the Solid Waste Division. <br /> Mr. Van Buren asked Mr. Garibaldi to provide documentation on the parking. Mr. Garibaldi <br /> indicated that 19,500 square feet of actual processing and packaging area, based on that it would <br /> dictate that he would need 49 spaces, based on the current number of parking spaces he would <br /> need to add 12 additional spaces. Mr. Garibaldi indicated that they are proposing to add 18 <br /> spaces for future growth. The 18 spaces would be added towards the rear of the yard. <br /> Mrs. Wehrmeister informed Mr. Garibaldi that the 18 parking spaces would need to be paved. <br /> Mr. Garibaldi indicated that it is his intent to have the parking lot paved. <br /> Mr. Van Buren asked Mr. Garibaldi to get back with Mrs. Wehrmeister regarding the parking <br /> spaces with final documentation that can be taken to the Planning Commission. <br />
