Dykxhoorn Page 3 of 9
Project Number: E07024B
Date: October 31, 2007
3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
A file review was performed at the EHD to determine the septic system repairs within the. /
vicinity of the site. The septic system repairs in the area appear to be for the addition of leach
lines and seepage pits and some sumps.
3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expected usage on each proposed parcel would be for a primary residence and /
second dwelling unit. Septic system design should be based on the On-Site Wastewater
Disposal Standards or other engineering recommendations.
4.0 GROUNDWATER INFORMATION
4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (1998 and 1999) ground
water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the
site. The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current official maps available from the
County. According to these maps (Plates 3-6), ground water lies between 30 to 40 feet below
ground surface and flows at a gradient of about ten (10) feet per mile to the north in the
vicinity of the site.
No ground water was encountered by the staff of Neil O. Anderson & Associates, Inc. during
the drilling on the subject property to a depth of 3.30 feet on October 10, 2007.
4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for
the soil suitability study. A Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report addressed this issue
(NOA, March 8, 2007). Please refer to this report for descriptions. Potential ground-water
contamination can occur from a number of sources which often include leaking underground
storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems, and storm water infiltration.
Agricultural activities and the use of septic systems in the area should be considered potential
ground-water contamination sources.
4.3 Water Sample Location —
According to aper d during file review at the AHD, three agricul al wells exist on the
site. The per ',was issued t Rena Zwart in March of'1996 a or the installation of one
agricultural well, No permits ere found for the other wells.
One water sampl was taken on October 10, 2007 by Jessen Welch of our office from the spigot
,of the agricultur ell.
V. 902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240•209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02007 Neil 0.Anderson&Associates,Inc
