The following letter outlines the noise levels standards applicable to the new <br /> project permit and noise control design recommendations prepared by j.c. brennan & associates, <br /> Inc. The intent of these recommendations is to ensure that operations under the new permit for <br /> the proposed chip and grind operations will comply with the exterior noise level standards of San <br /> Joaquin County, as discussed below. <br /> Proiect Overview <br /> The Valley Organics Composting facility is located at 916 Frewert Road in San Joaquin County. <br /> It is an existing green materials composting facility operating under Use Permit #PA-0550726 <br /> which consists of a phased project on 20 acres. <br /> The Valley Organics composting facility is currently open from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. The hours <br /> will remain the same as will the basic traffic flow through the site. <br /> Valley Organics will continue to operate as a windrow composting operation. The continued day <br /> to day operations include: a processing area for receiving materials and processing them for the <br /> composting process, creating and maintaining compost piles with a windrow turner, and a <br /> finished product area where stabilized materials are stored prior to sale and transport off-site. <br /> The following equipment will be used for the upgraded facility (all of this equipment is currently <br /> on site except the water truck which will be added): one tractor, one windrow compost turner, <br /> one grinder, one dump truck, one trommel screen,two loaders, a scale and a water truck. <br /> www.jcbrennanassoc.com <br />
