A minimum Of five sacks of cement per cubic yard of <br /> concrete. <br /> 2. A maximum of seven gallons of water per sack of cement. <br /> EXECUTION_ -- - <br /> GENERAL-. <br /> A. Drill using a method that is appropriate for soils <br /> encountered_ Notify Engineer when groundwater is <br /> encountered_ <br /> B. Decontaminate drill rig and all drilling equipment by steam <br /> = cleaning in the presence of the Engineer before drilling- <br /> - C. Clear the boring location of a]1 brush and minor <br /> obstructions_ <br /> D_ Install water monitoring well- Depth of borehole shall be <br /> 15 feet below groundwater surface- <br /> E_ The Contractor shall notify the County Environmental Health <br /> Department at least 48 hours prior to placing neat cement <br /> seal_ <br /> - DRILLING: <br /> _- A= Collect representative soil-cutting samples on 5-foot - <br /> intervals for the Engineer- Record on the Driller's Log all <br /> water bearing zones and zones exhibiting drilling problems <br /> that may affect the well installation_ Soil logs will be <br /> prepared by Contractor' s geologist . <br /> B. At final depth, remove soil cuttings prior to construction <br /> of the well. Measure the total depth of the completed <br /> borehole using a weighted sounding line in the presence of <br /> the Engineer_ Check the borehole depth to assure that <br /> formation material has not heaved or that cave-ins have not . <br /> entered the borehole_ if,heaving or cave-ins have taken <br /> E.:- - - -. <br />
