Twelve monitoring events have been
completed to date since the groundwater investigation was initiated in April 2000. Trace
levels of Xylene were present in MW-1. All other-monitoring wells were non-detect for.
BTEX, TPH-G and the oxygenate compounds. The deep well MW-101 was non-detect for
the seventh consecutive event.
The groundwater gradient for December 30, 2002, is 0.0015 ft/ft flowing N801W. This in-
consistent with past events (see Figure 2). Depth to. groundwater at the site, was
approximately 63 feet below ground surface (bgs).
A vertical groundwater gradient calculation was made for the September 2002 groundwater-
monitoring event. The vertical gradient was found to be in a downward direction with a
slope that is approximately equal to the water table horizontalg radient.
The internal combustion engine (I.C.) was set in operation on February 5, 2002. The IC ran
until February 27 2002 when it was shutdown n
--1 y n a d removed from the site because it was not
r properly controlling emissions. The IC was completely rebuilt and returned to the site on
L
