Creological rechAld Inc Page 9 Groundwater Monitoring Report Project No.750.2 February 16,2005 Middleton, San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) on September 24, 2004. During the initial inspection Ms. Middleton requested that the initial laboratory sample analysis be submitted to the SJVAPCD in accordance to the Authority to Construct: N-4546- 2-1 Section 15 (ATC). Ms. Middleton stated that the submission of monthly and annual reports is not required. As per the ATC, records of all site activities, field measurements, laboratory results and other compliance requirements are kept by GTI and are available for SJVAPCD inspection upon request. During the November 30, 2004, monitoring event elevated Organic Vapor Meter (OVM) readings were encountered. It was determined that water was forming in the carbon vessels due to elevated heat created by the blower. The water was removed from the vessels and ambient air was passed through the carbon units for fourteen days to dry out the carbon. The removed water was stored in 55-gallon drums until disposal was arranged. During the second week of December 2004, Del-Tech personnel reconfigured the SVE system so that it pulls the vapor through the vessels prior to contacting the blower. This procedure eliminated the heat added to the air stream via the blower and reduced the amount of condensation in the carbon vessels. Del-Tech also replaced the rotometer with a more accurate sensor-type air speed indicator. 4.1 System Efficiency The SVE system is operated under the authority of the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District's (SJVUAPCD) Authority To Construct (N-4546-2-1).
