McDowell&Davis Towing
3 Geo robe Soil Boring&Revised Risk
'
Assessment and Conceptual Site Model Report
Page; 8
6.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The soil and groundwater contamination at the McDowell and Davis underground storage
tank site has been evaluated through an ASTM — Risk Based Corrective Action model.
Groundwater impacts at the site do not pose a risk to offsite ingestion at the closest
( identified water approximately 750 feet from the site. Onsite groundwater impacts were
below water quality goals in the May and August 2003 monitoring events.
Individual and cumulative effect of contaminant concentrations through indoor air
exposure does not pose a greater than acceptable cancer and toxicant risk. Additional
remediation of the contamination does not appear warranted at this time.
Groundwater monitoring should continue through the November 2003 event to provide
two years of groundwater data. A closure request should be submitted for regulatory
consideration with the report of the November 2003 groundwater monitoring event if
there are no significant groundwater changes. 1
L
