In the 2006 photo, no significant changes to the Site are apparent. Additional rural
residences can be seen to the south.
These photos are included in Appendix 3 of this report.
4.0 SITE INSPECTION
Abigail Racco of LOGE inspected the site on October 8, 2009. Photographs of the Site
are attached to this report as Appendix 2. The site inspection was limited by dry
seasonal vegetation obscuring the ground surface across the majority of the Site.
The Site consists of bare land crossed by a canal near the northern boundary. A pile of
concrete pipe and seven tires was observed near the northwest corner of the Site. Mr.
Lombardi indicated that the concrete was removed from the stream when it was
rerouted (personal communication, October 19, 2009). Approximately 20 quart or
smaller automotive fluid containers, apparently empty, were observed near the Gawne
Roact property line.
Five p ,le-mounted transformers were observed along the western Site boundary. Of
theseonly one was observed to have a label indicating that it is free of polychlorinated
biphenyls (PCBs). However, the transformers appeared relatively new, and no leaks
were observed.
Surrounding properties included agricultural and rural residential land. To the north,
west, and east was agricultural land. To the south and southwest were rural
residences. An orchard was located to the southeast.
5.0 INTERVIEWS
5.1 Interview with Progeft,Ownem
Joe Lombardi was interviewed by telephone on October 2, 2009.
