March 10, 2009 fbr nearby addresses that have been tested for these constituents.
Two nearby wells ataddresses located within one mile of the Site were found to have
non-detectable levels of-DBCP_and nitrate as NO3 levels ranging from 9.6 to 18.1 ppm.
The Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) set by the US EPA for nitrate as NO3 is 46 pm;
the MCL for DBCP is 0.2 ppb. Based on these results, it appears that groundwater in
the area contains nitrate at levels below the MCL. DBCP contamination of ground water
does not appear to be a problem in the area.
7.3 Office of Emergency Services Databases
The San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services (OES) website was searched
on October, 2009 for the subject Site. No Hazardous Materials Business Plan records
were identified for the Site address.
Michelle Halliwell of the OES was interviewed by telephone on October 12, 2009. She
indicated at this time that the following incident reports are on file in the OES database
for the vicinity of the Site (potentially on or adjacent to the Site):
Date Location Description
6/1/2000 Gawne west of Escalon-Bellota Abandoned drug lab waste
6/14/2000 Gawne 1 mile west of Escalon-Bellota Abandoned drug lab waste
10/18/2000 Gawne 1.5 miles east of Mobley Abandoned 5-gallon containers of
waste oil
10/18/2000 Gawne 1.5 miles east of Mobley Abandoned drug lab waste
2/15/2001 Gawne 1 mile east of Mobley Abandoned 1-gallon container of
paint-related material
4/21/2009 Gawne 1 mile west of Escalon-Bellota Abandoned containers of
corrosive materials
For each of these incidents, it appears that the =tion
pri a agency coordinated the
removal of the materials. No sources of co aminho Id remain at the dumping
locations. These records have been include , in Appendix 4 G
7.4 Agricultural Commissioner's Records
The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office wa not contacted/
regarding any agricultural use of the Site because it appears that the rerrtyhas not
been used for agriculture in the recent past.
LOGE0913 Page 5
