13. This project will be required to comply with the Model Water Efficiency Landscape Ordinance <br /> requirements of the California Code of regulations, Title 22, Division 2, Chapter 2.7 <br /> 2. SOUTH SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY FIRE AUTHORITY(Contact: [209]831-6707) <br /> a. Prior to approval of building construction permit, applicant shall incorporate the following into <br /> construction documents: <br /> 1. New and existing buildings shall have approved address numbers and addressing scheme that is <br /> placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. <br /> 2. Fire sprinklers and fire alarms shall be installed, in accordance with 2016 CFC Chapter 9, NFPA <br /> 13&NFPA 72.These items may be listed as a deferred submittal on the construction documents, <br /> and shall be submitted separately from the building construction submittal. <br /> 3. Fire Department Connection (FDC)shall be located towards the front of the building or at the fire <br /> pump, based on the conversation with Fire Marshal Ray, May 2019. Provide a hydrant with 100' <br /> of FDC. <br /> 4. Provide civil drawings demonstrating the sprinkler system and the hydrant loop are separated from <br /> each other to prevent pressurization of hydrants during firefighting operations. <br /> 5. Water tanks shall be installed in accordance with 2016 California Fire Code, NVPA 22, NVPA 24. <br /> Provide calculations which demonstrates a minimum amount of fire suppression water supply per <br /> 2016 NFPA 1142. This can be listed as a deferred submittal on the construction documents, and <br /> shall be submitted separately from the building construction submittal. <br /> 6. Provide access in accordance with 2016 CFC Section 503 and San Joaquin County's Fire <br /> Apparatus Access Road Standards. <br /> 7. Electric gates shall be equipped with traffic preempting optical signal receivers compatible with the <br /> emitters used by the Fire Department, which will activate the gates and override all command <br /> functions of the gate controller. Electric gate operations shall be listed in accordance with UL 325 <br /> and ASTM F2200. Knox switches shall be provided on both sides of the gates unless an exit loop <br /> is provided at automatic gates. The automatic gates shall have a battery back-up or a manual <br /> mechanical disconnect readily accessible to emergency personnel in case of power failure. <br /> 8. Prior to approval of building construction permit, applicant shall submit construction documents to <br /> the South San Joaquin County Fire Authority for review and approval. Electronic submittal is <br /> encouraged, but not mandatory. <br /> b. At the time of application to South San Joaquin County Fire Authority, additional requirements may be <br /> required based on submittal and review. <br /> c. Prior to final inspection, emergency radio responder coverage shall be tested for each building in <br /> accordance with 2016 CFC Section 510. If adequate coverage is not available, applicant shall apply <br /> for a construction permit for installation. <br /> 3. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (Contact: [209]468-3000) <br /> a. The developer shall provide drainage facilities in accordance with the San Joaquin County <br /> Development Standards. Retention basins shall be fenced with six (6) foot high chain link fence or <br /> equal when the maximum design depth is eighteen (18) inches or more. Required retention basin <br /> capacity shall be calculated and submitted along with a drainage plan for review and approval, prior <br /> to release of building permit.
