Mountain House Specific Plan III <br /> ........................................................................................................................................................................... <br /> portable water treatment units,to be funded by the developers,may be used to satisfy treated water — <br /> demand on an interim basis. <br /> 12.6.3 Implementation Measures <br /> a. The existing water treatment plant shall be expanded to serve the additional potable water demands <br /> for Specific Plan III as estimated in this chapter. The existing treatment process will be utilized or <br /> modified as appropriate to produce potable water per the requirements of the MHCSD and applicable _ <br /> State and Federal standards. <br /> b. The water treatment plant expansion shall be constructed and deemed operational,or interim water <br /> treatment facilities shall have been installed and deemed operational, with sufficient capacity to meet <br /> the projected demands for Specific Plan 111,prior to the issuance of any occupancy permits for <br /> buildings within the Specific Plan III area. <br /> c. All applicable implementing projects shall comply with the applicable provisions of the existing San <br /> Joaquin County Use Permit for the Water Treatment Plant. — <br /> d. All implementing projects shall comply with the applicable provisions of the MHCSD Potable Water <br /> Master Plan and Development Standards for provision of the required phased expansion of the _ <br /> treatment plant,and raw water pump station. <br /> e. All expansions of the Water Treatment Plant shall comply with the applicable State and Federal <br /> Drinking Water Standards. <br /> 12.7 Water Storage — <br /> 12.7.1 Master Plan Summary <br /> The Master Plan requires that the Mountain House community be provided with adequate water storage <br /> facilities to ensure efficient system operation and"back up"supply in the event of an emergency or <br /> required system shutdown. Treated water storage facilities shall be provided to hold the required amount — <br /> of operational,emergency and fire storage for the community at the various stages of development and at <br /> buildout of the community. — <br /> 12.7.2 Specific Plan III Description _ <br /> Water Storage: Tank storage for both Zones I and 11 will be required to be constructed as part of the <br /> Specific Plan III development. The proposed site location for the two tanks is on the Delta College site as _ <br /> depicted on Figure 12.1. <br /> Since the water storage tanks will be located on the proposed Delta Community College campus, their <br /> design shall be such as to minimize,as much as possible, the adverse visual and noise impacts from <br /> 12-12 Draft 03/14/05 <br /> ........................................................................................................................................................................... <br />
