Mountain House Community Services District Design Manual 2002 <br /> The MHCSD Design Manual does not contain public schools design measures or standards applicable to the <br /> proposed project. <br /> FIRE PROTECTION <br /> Federal Regulations <br /> The proposed project is not located on or in the vicinity of federal lands,and there are no federal fire protection <br /> regulations applicable to the project. <br /> State Regulations <br /> There are no state fire protection regulations applicable to the project. <br /> Regional and Local Regulations <br /> San Joaquin County General Plan 2010 <br /> The San Joaquin County General Plan contains the following policy related to fire protection that is applicable to <br /> the proposed project. <br /> Public Health and Safety Chapter <br /> The San Joaquin County General Plan was recently amended to replace an existing policy that required fire <br /> station locations be planned to achieve a maximum run time of 3 minutes or a maximum distance of 1.5 miles in <br /> urban areas, or 6 minutes or 4 miles in rural areas(SJCCDD 1994a).The new policy requires fire station to be <br /> strategically located so as to offer fire protection to all portions of the community, consistent with standards for <br /> comparable communities in the County. <br /> Mountain House Master Plan 1994 <br /> The following fire protection policy from the MHMP is applicable to the proposed project. <br /> Public Health and Safety <br /> The MI-IMP was recently amended to delete an existing policy that required fire station locations be planned to <br /> achieve a maximum run time of 3 minutes or a maximum distance of 1.5 miles in urban areas,or 6 minutes or 4 <br /> miles in rural areas(SJDCCD 2003). A new policy is not proposed to replace the previous policy,thus the County <br /> policy cited above would apply. <br /> Final EIR for the Mountain House Master Plan and Specific Plan 11994 (Mitigation Measures) <br /> .. The following fire protection mitigation measures from the Final EIR for the Mountain House Master Plan and <br /> Specific Plan I are applicable to the proposed project. <br /> Mitigation Measure 4.3.3-1.The following Implementations are recommended for addition to Objective 1 in <br /> Fire Protection and Emergency Response(Appendix Q. <br /> (i) The on-site fire station shall include an ambulance if the Fire Services were responsible for emergency <br /> medical service transport. <br /> College Park at Mountain House Specific Plan III Draft EIR EDAW <br /> Public Services 4.4-13 San Joaquin County <br />
