result in a conversion of oak woodlands that would have a significant effect on the environment.
4.10.4 IMPACT ANALYSIS
ANALYSIS METHODOLOGY _
This evaluation is based on data collected during reconnaissance field surveys, supplemented by reviews of aerial
photographs and information from previously completed studies and analyses that addressed biological resources at
the College Park site. Figure 4.10-3 depicts areas covered by EDAW surveys in 2003 and other biological surveys.
Reconnaissance-level field surveys were conducted by EDAW biologists on June 10, 2003, to characterize
general biological resources present at the College Park site and document areas that could support special-status
species and sensitive habitats. Reconnaissance-level field surveys of the off-site infrastructure areas were
conducted by an EDAW biologist on December 23,2003, and October 22, 2004. A tree survey was conducted by
an EDAW arborist on June 10 and 25, 2003,to identify trees that meet preservation criteria. A focused survey for —
nesting raptors was conducted by an EDAW ornithologist on June 2, 2003.
Documents reviewed during preparation of this section include: _
• Mountain House Master Plan (San Joaquin County 1994b);
• Mountain House Master Plan and Specific Plan I Final EIR(San Joaquin County 1994a);
Delta College Center at Mountain House Final Supplemental EIR(San Joaquin Delta Community College
District 2002); _
Mountain House Multi-Purpose Habitat Management Plan (Zentner and Zentner 1994);
San Joaquin Kit Fox Surveys at the Mountain House Proposed Project Site, San Joaquin County, California
(Biosystems Analysis, Inc. 1992);
• Background Report:Mountain House New Town and the San Joaquin Kit Fox(Zentner and Zentner 1993);
• Biological Resources Assessments±148-acre Machado property, San Joaquin County, California(Foothill
Associates 2004);
Biological Resources Assessment±471-Acre Mountain House Parcels, San Joaquin County, California
(Foothill Associates 2003); —
• Spring Botanical Survey Letter Report for the Mountain House Project(EIP Associates 2003);
• Mountain House Business Park Sensitive Habitat Report(EIP Associates 2004a);
Mountain House Business Park Special-Status Species Report(EIP Associates 2004b); _
Mountain House Business Park Raptor Nest Survey Report(EIP Associates 2004c);
• Mountain House Business Park Tree Survey Report(EIP Associates 2004d); and
• San Joaquin Multi-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan(San Joaquin County 2000).
EDAW College Park at Mountain House Specific Plan III Draft EIR
Biological Resources 4.10-30 San Joaquin County
