Despite the mitigation <br /> measures identified in the MEIR and the SPIIIEIR and the Mountain House Traffic Impact <br /> Fee/San Joaquin County Traffic Impact Mitigation Fee program,traffic congestion on <br /> Altamont Pass Road west of Grant Line Road and on segments of 1-205, 1-580, and I-5 would <br /> remain a significant and unavoidable impact. <br /> Mitigation Measures <br /> Traffic mitigation measures were proposed in the MEIR and the SPIIIEIR. There is no <br /> additional mitigation available to reduce the levels of impact, and the impact remains as <br /> significant and unavoidable. <br /> e) Result in a change in air traffic patterns, including either an increase in traffic levels or <br /> a change in location that results in substantial safety risks? <br /> The nearest airport is the Byron Airport that is located approximately four miles northwest of <br /> the project site. The proposed project would not result in changes in air traffic patterns. <br /> Mitigation Measures <br /> No mitigation measures are required. <br /> d) Substantially increase hazards due to a design feature (e.g., sharp curves or dangerous <br /> intersections) or incompatible uses (e.g.,farm equipment)? <br /> All of the streets in the Altamont Heights project would be designed and constructed in <br /> conformance with MHCSD standards including adequate radii at curves and cul-de-sacs and <br /> proper sight distances.
