MOUNTAIN HOUSE PROPOSED ALTAMONT HEIGHTs TENTATIVE MAP 4. ENVIRONMENTAL CHECKLIST
4.45 TRSPORTATION/TRAFFIC
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required.
r e) Result in inadequate emergency access?
The proposed project would have a loop street system and three cul-de-sacs(Siegfried
l Engineering, 2006). Turning radii on streets as well-as afends of the cul-de-sacs would have
to satisfy requirements of the MHCSD Development Standards in order to be adequate for
access and egress by fire trucks and other emergency vehicles. With these design features,
emergency access would be satisfactory.
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required.
f) Result in inadequate parking capacity?
k
s Future developers of the individual parcels must meet the residential and commercial parking
requirements that are enforced through the County Development Title and the MHCSD
Design Guidelines. This impact would be less than significant.
Mitigation Measures
t
r MSIR Mitigation Measure M4.12-6 addresses shared parking opportunities. A portion of the
recommended text changes were made to the MHMP(EDAW, 2005b). No additional
mitigation measures are required.
g) Conflict with adopted polices, plans, or programs supporting alternative transportation
(e.g., bus turnouts, bicycle racks)?
The proposed project would not conflict with adopted policies, plans, or programs supporting
alternative transportation methods. Sidewalks would be provided along all streets and cul-
de-sacs. A Class III bike route would be provided along F Street on the eastern boundary of
the project. A bus stop would be provided on F Street between C and E streets (Siegfried
{ Engineering, 2006, Sheet 3).
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required.
a
SOURCES OF INFORMATION
EDAW. 2005a.
