OHM PROPERTY
Page No. 3
by a tan fine sandy clayey silt. For a more detailed description
of the soils encountered see the log of test holes.
Shallow ( 36" deep) percolation tests were performed at the
test hole locations. Two 4 inch diameter holes were excavated and
2 inches of gravel was placed in the bottom of each hole. 2 inch
diameter perforated pipes were then placed and backfilled with
gravel. The test holes were filled with water 24 hours prior to
running the tests. The last half hour of the test readings were
witnessed by a county health official and the test data obtained is
enclosed in the appendix. The percolation rates have been adjusted
to account for the gravel and pipe backfill. Calculations for
adjustments are on the test data sheets.
A summary of the tests results are presented next:
Diameter of Depth of
Test No. Hole (in. ) Hole (in. ) Per on Rate min in
PT-1 4 36 t16
PT-2 4 36
VII CONCLUSION
Based on the results of the percolation tests, the soil
profile, and the performance of the septic systems in the area, it
is our opinion that the homesite resulting from the proposed parcel
split should be suitable for use of on site sewage disposal
systems. Any proposed system should be properly designed and
installed according to current San Joaquin County criteria.
Based on the depth to ground water in the area, and the size
of the proposed parcels, it is our opinion that the installation of
the proposed septic system, if properly installed, should not
adversely affect the quality of the ground water in the area.
VIII LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information
provided regarding the existing and proposed development, the use
of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed at
the time we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation
tests. It was assumed that the test holes and percolation tests
P pERsO
D ^
Z W
Q ~
9SSOG♦
P
