OHM PROPERTY <br /> Page No. 2 <br /> IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> As indicated, there are no existing structures on the <br /> property. However, there are several neighbors that are in <br /> reasonably close proximity to the property. Two of these neighbors <br /> were able to be interviewed and this information is presented next: <br /> OWNER: Finton <br /> ADDRESS: 33969 S Koster Rd. <br /> LOCATION: 1 . 5 miles northwest of the subject property. <br /> AGE OF HOUSE: 12 years <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, utilizing a septic system with two shallow <br /> leach lines located on the east side of the house. <br /> The owner has had no problems with the system. <br /> OWNER: Bogetti <br /> ADDRESS: 34201 McGracken Rd. <br /> LOCATION: 100 yds. south of the subject property. <br /> AGE OF HOUSE: 6 years <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, utilizing a septic system with two shallow <br /> leach lines located on the north side of the house. <br /> The owner has had no problems with the system. <br /> V. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND TESTING <br /> According to the local farmers, the depth to groundwater at <br /> this location is between 50 and 60 feet. <br /> There are no existing wells available for sampling on the <br /> site. The water from a neighbors well was sampled on July 14, 1995 <br /> and tested for the presence of nitrates and dibromochloropropane <br /> (DBCP) . Test results indicated that DBCP was non-detected and the <br /> level of nitrate was 53 mg/l, which is above the Maximum <br /> Contaminate Level (MCL) of 45 mg/l . A copy of the test results are <br /> included in the Appendix. <br /> VI . SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTS <br /> Two test holes were excavated to a depth of 10 feet in the <br /> area of the proposed homesites in order to determine the soil <br /> profile in the general area. For approximate location of the test <br /> holes (PT) see the Parcel Map in the Appendix. The soil profile <br /> holes were logged by an engineer and a description of the soils <br /> encountered in the holes is contained in the Appendix.
