LFR Inc.
9.0 INTERVIEWS
9.1 Interviews with Site Contacts
LFR met with Mr. Frank Rubino on October 12, 2006 during the site-reconnaissance.
Mr. Rubino introduced himself as the property owner and stated that he has owned the
Site since 1964. Mr. Rubino indicated that no structures, USTs, ASTs, or hazardous
materials are located on the Site. However, a storm water collection basin is located at
the approximate center of the Site. According to Mr. Rubino, the basin was installed in
the 1970s for the purpose of collecting storm water runoff from the commercial
structures located adjacent and to the south of the Site. Mr. Rubino added that the two
warehouse buildings located on APN 070-014-028 will be separated from the parcel
number and are not part of the Site.
9.2 Interviews with Local Government Officials
LFR contacted the San Joaquin County Environmental Management Department; the
San Joaquin County Agricultural Commission Office, and the San Joaquin County
Planning and Building Department. The information obtained is included as part of
Section 5.3 of this report.
10.0 LIMITED SOIL SAMPLING
On October 12, 2006, LFR collected eight 4-point composite shallow (surface to
6 inches below surface grade) soil samples at the Site. Soil sample collection locations /
are depicted on Figure 2. The samples were collected in soil jars, capped, and labeled
on a chain-of-custody form with the soil sample identification, the time and date of
sample collection, the analysis requested, and the name of the sampler. The samples
were kept cool and transmitted under chain-of-custody protocols to California
Laboratory Services of Rancho Cordova, California (a California-certified analytical
laboratory) for chemical analysis as follows:
Sample Number Analytical Method
Composite Nos. t through 8 Organochlorine Pesticides(EPA Method 8081A)
Discrete Sample Nos.
