LFR Inc.
The Site is located within the San Joaquin Valley Groundwater Basin, further defined
as the Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin. The Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin is drained by
the San Joaquin River and its tributaries, ultimately flowing northward into the
Sacramento and San Joaquin Delta which discharges into San Francisco Bay. Water
bearing formations in the Subbasin include Alluvium and Modesto/Riverbank
Formations, Flood Basin Deposits, Laguna Formation, and Mehrten Formation
(California Groundwater Bulletin 118).
According to the Overview Map prepared by EDR, the Site is not located within a
flood zone. However, the area surrounding Bear Creek located approximately 300 feet
south of the Site is reported as being within a 500-year flood zone.
7.0 REGULATORY AGENCY RESEARCH
7.1 Published Government List Review
Regulatory agency database information was obtained from the EDR Radius Map
Report, which maps and lists properties in U.S. government and California state
environmental databases with existing conditions or status that may have the potential
to impact the Site. The EDR report is provided as Appendix D.
7.1.1 Federal Environmental Record Sources
ASTM E 1527-05 guidance requires review of the following federal databases.
7.1.1.1 National Priorities List(NPL; 1.0 mile)
The National Priorities List (NPL) is a subset of CERCLIS and identifies over 1,200
sites for priority cleanup under the Superfund program. An NPL site must meet or
surpass a predetermined hazard ranking system score, be chosen as a state's top
priority site, or meet three specific criteria set jointly by the U.S. Department of Health
and Human Services and the U.S. EPA. Source: U.S. EPA.
There are no listed properties within one mile of the Site.
7.1.1.2 Delisted NPL Site List(NPL; 1.0 mile)
The Delisted NPL Site List includes properties that have been delisted off the NPL.
There are no Delisted NPL properties within one mile of the Site.
003-09246-00_LowerSacra wftad 1LHo s—Pha 1 FSA:c1h Page 16
