Soil Suitability Study ** APN: 207-290-56 & 59 ** Designated Remainder Parcel = 15 acres, Parcels 1, 2, 3, &4, 10 acres each, Total 55 acres** 29707 Grooms Road, Oakdale, CA 95361 of ten(10) septic permits were reviewed. Two(2) of the reviewed permits were for adding to existing systems. Five(5)of the reviewed permits involved leach lines with rectangular shaped pits at their ends. Two (2)of the reviewed permits were for installing leach lines only. The remaining permit involved installing leach lines and circular shaped pits. Two(2)of the permits involved installing leach lines only varying from 70' to 90' long. Five(5)of the permits were for installing two(2)to three(3)leach lines varying from 40' to 90' long with either 4'x 8' or 4'x 10' pits varying from 10' to 12' deep at their ends. sp Wr Two (2) permits were for additions to existing systems. One was for installing a 60' long leach line with a 48"diameter pit, 25' deep at its end. The other was for installing one(1)40' long leach line with a 4"x 8' pit, 10' deep. SurThe remaining permit was for instal ng two(2)leach lines, each 25' long with 36" diameter pits at their ends. One pit was 25' deep and the other pit was 35' deep. "4w 1 No permits were noted for repairing any of the facilities subsequent to their installation. From the historical septic records there is no indication of septic contamination problems. GROUNDWATER ELEVATION: The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation Map entitled"Lines of Equal Depth To Water Wells, dated spring 1998, shows the water table to be in excess of sixty(60)feet below the ground surface. SOIL.CHARACTER: The University of California publication entitled "Soils of San Joaquin County, California",by Walter W. Weir, dated June 1952, identifies the soil on the subject property to be mainly Hanford Sandy Loam with some Madera Sandy Loam. HANFORD SANDY LOAM Hanford Soils in Parcels 1 and 2 are recent alluvial deposits from grinitic and similar quartz bearing miscellaneous rock sources. They are developed under medium to low rainfall, which occurs during mild winters followed by long dry summers. They are neutral to slightly basic in reaction and are medium to fine textured. They are similar to Grangeville soils except that they are less compact in the upper topsoil and have better drainage. The surface soil of Hanford Sandy Loam is brown to light brown, open and permeable. The surface soil contains transparent isinglass.
