• 4.0 SITE INSPECTION <br /> Live Oak inspected the site on October 30, 2015. Photographs of the Site are <br /> attached to this report as Appendix 2. The majority of the perimeter of the Site <br /> was inspected. It was not always possible to inspect the ground surface due to <br /> the presence of vegetation. <br /> The Site is a dry rice field. An irrigation ditch crosses the northeast corner of the <br /> Site. <br /> To the north of the Site were orchards and a rural residence. To the west was <br /> open, agricultural land. To the south was Grooms Road, followed by agricultural <br /> land and a rural residence. To the east was Victory Avenue, followed by open, <br /> agricultural land. <br /> 5.0 INTERVIEWS <br /> 5.1 Interview with Client <br /> Arlene Lawry was interviewed by telephone on October 27, 2015. At this time, <br /> she indicated that the Site has been in her family since the 1920s; she and her <br /> . sister, Gwen Bender, have owned it since 1991. She stated that the Site has <br /> always been used for growing rice. <br /> Ms. Bender was not aware of any structures, wells, fuel tanks, chemical storage, <br /> buried trash, dumping, or other environmental issues affecting the Site now or in <br /> the past. She indicated that the Site is farmed by Will Schultz, and water is <br /> provided by the Oakdale Irrigation District. <br /> 6.0 SITE DOCUMENTS <br /> 6.1 Environmental Health Department Records <br /> Hazardous Materials Records <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department was contacted <br /> regarding the Site address of 31345 East Grooms Road. According to Ashreen <br /> Ali, no records related to hazardous materials are on file (personal <br /> communication, October 23, 2015). <br /> Well & Septic Permits <br /> Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> • well and septic permit files for the Site address.
