L
L May 18, 2004
NOA Project Number: E04046A
L3.5 Current Off-Site Sources of Contamination
LNo above-or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified
from current uses of the surrounding properties, except for the following:
0'3•x'
• It appears that Mormon Slough is a popular area for dumping household debris.
L
4.0 EVALUATION OF IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES
The current amount of trash and debris observed on and adjacent to the property does not appear
to pose an environmental threat to the property. (if r1
L
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
All trash and debris should be removed from the subject property prior to development. The
portion of Mormon Slough south of the subject property should be periodically monitored for
` indiscriminate disposal of potentially hazardous materials.
Any wells or septic systems identified during the site development process should be properly
abandoned under EHD oversight.
6.0 LIMITATIONS
6.
This report was compiled as a Surface/Subsurface Contamination Report for the subject property.
This report contains information and data provided to NOA by several sources. NOA in no way
warrants the accuracy or completeness of the information provided to this investigation by those
sources.
It should be noted that when a surface/subsurface assessment is completed without sample
collection and quantitative analysis of soil and groundwater beneath the site, as in this study,no
statement of scientific certainty can be made regarding latent subsurface conditions which may
be the result of on-site or off-site sources. The findings and conclusions of this report are not
scientific certainties, but rather, probabilities based on professional judgement concerning the
. significance of the data gathered during the course of this investigation. NOA is not able to
represent that the site or adjoining land contains no hazardous waste, oil, underground storage
tanks, o r o ther latent condition beyond that detected or observed by NOA during the
Surface/Subsurface assessment. The possibility always exists for contaminants to migrate through
surface water, air, or groundwater.
L
12
