The proposed project will extract corn oil from corn germ (Use Type: Agricultural <br /> Processing- Food Manufacturing). The business will operate twenty-four hours a day in <br /> three shifts, from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and from 4:00 p.m. to <br /> 12:00 a.m. There will be two employees per shift and the applicant expects four <br /> customers per day. <br /> There is currently an existing grain storage processing facility on the parcel which will <br /> continue to operate if the proposed use is established. <br /> The project site is located on the east side of Harlan Road, 2,300 feet south of Mathews <br /> Road, south of Stockton. <br /> The property has a General Plan designation of I/G (General Industrial) and the parcel is <br /> zoned I-G (General Industrial). <br /> The Community Development Department has reviewed the application and offers the <br /> following comments: <br /> Background <br /> On October 8, 1957, Community Development Department approved UP 654 for the <br /> storage and processing of grain. The existing grain company operates on the subject <br /> parcel and the adjacent parcel to the north (APN # 193-210-01 and -02). Both parcels <br /> M are owned by French Camp Grain Elevators, LLC. The proposed grain extraction use <br /> will be conducted on APN # 193-210-02. <br /> 1 <br />
