Thelma E. Hieb Revocable Trust Property Page 9 of 10
Our Project Number: E07202A
January 10, 2008
Labor camps are often associated with buried debris.
Lead based paint and asbestos containing material may be contained in the structures on the
property.
The tires on the property could become a fire hazard.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Given the historical uses of agricultural chemicals and petroleum products on the subject
property, meaningful conclusions regarding the presence or extent of such material cannot be
determined without soil sampling and analysis. Such sampling and analysis is especially
warranted in the conversion of agricultural land into residential ; ho)w_Pver, this is n4-the
case for this property.
Should residents of the subject property be interested in determining the quality of their
drinking water, EHD should be contacted for direction regarding the potential for impacts to
groundwater from the past use as a dairy and agricultural history of the property and vicinity.
If the existing structures are to be renovated or demolished, a survey to detect lead-based
paints and asbestos-containing materials should be conducted prior to any such activities.
If the above ground storage tank is to be used, it should be placed in a secondary containment
area; otherwise it should be abandoned in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
The tires located behind the shed should be disposed appropriately if they will not be used.
Any wells or septic systems identified which will not remain in use should be abandoned under
EHD oversight. Any additional infrastructure or buried debris that may be encountered during
site grading or development should be removed and disposed of in accordance with all
applicable regulations.
6.0 LIMITATIONS
This report was compiled as a Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report for the subject
property. This report contains information and data provided to NOA by several sources. NOA
in no way warrants the accuracy or completeness of the information provided to this
investigation by those sources.
It should be noted that when an environmental assessment is completed without sample
collection and quantitative analysis of soil and groundwater beneath the site, as in this study,
no statement of scientific certainty can be made regarding latent subsurface conditions which
may be the result of on-site or off-site sources. The findings and conclusions of this report are
not scientific certainties, but rather, probabilities based on professional judgment concerning
902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240•209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02008 Neil O.Anderson&Associates,Inc.
