June 1, 1999
San Joaquin County Community
Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 E Hazelton Ave.
Stockton CA-95255
Attn: Kerry Sullivan
Re: Rios Farm Labor Camp
Dear Ms. Sullivan:
We are writing concerning the proposed labor camp being one again submitted to the Planning
Commission.
This project was voted down by the Board of Supervisors on July 13, 1998. The Board stated
that the project was 4o© dense for-the-neighborhood. The-project-has not been changed in size-at
all.
Our concerns are the same as the first time this was submitted.
We already have-one labor-camp inter neighborhood along with-two Jand€t11s-(onepen-and one
closed).
There will be increased traffic. We already have the landfill traffic and also the trucks going to the
pit on Brandt-toad.
It will affect our water table. Please refer to an article that was in the Stockton Record on May 3,
1998 titled "Running on-empty".
It will affect our property values. With two landfills and two labor camps here, who would want
to pay very mach for our property ifwe-sold it.
Please consider all these factors when it goes before the Planning Commission.
Th#k you,
GaryFrn//'?Oto
Gail Jackson
13398 N Tully Rd
Lodi CA
209-727-0138
