The <br /> proposed project, located within the Mountain House Community,will include 1,578 single- <br /> family detached homes and 838 attached homes (totaling 2,416 dwelling units),parks, schools, <br /> public facilities,and other commercial sites. <br /> Upon review of the project,the Department has the following comments: <br /> 1. Land Use code(Page 3-13): <br /> • In order to verify the Trip Generation,please provide the type of software that was used. <br /> • Please provide the ITE Land Use codes for the categories listed in Table 3-4. <br /> 2. Traffic Models (Page 5-162): <br /> • Please provide the dates and times of when the traffic counts occurred. <br /> • "The model was calibrated to within 6percent of the relative errors between the <br /> computed and observed volumes." Please provide some examples for demonstration. <br /> 3. Table 5.15-1 -Level of Service(LOS)Standards: The LOS standard for freeways in rural <br /> area should be D or better. Please correct and resubmit. <br /> 4. Table 5.15-5-Trip Generation for Proposed Project(Neighborhoods K and L): Please <br /> explain how you arrived at the number of inbound and outbound trips. <br /> 5. There appears to be a large discrepancy in traffic volume between intersections#8 and#9 in <br /> Figures 5.15-1, 5.15-2, and 5.15-3. In addition,the difference between Existing and Existing <br /> Plus Proposed Project also shows a large discrepancy between the two intersections. Please <br /> verify the traffic volume,correct and resubmit for our review. <br /> 6. Figure 5.15-2-Existing Plus Proposed Project Turning Movement Volumes: Please <br /> verify the Lane Configuration for intersection#9,as there is no south-bound left-turn lane. <br /> Please correct and resubmit. <br /> "Calhans Improves nobility across Califomia" <br />
