Section 3208.1 of the Public Resources Code authorizes the State Oil and Gas <br /> Supervisor to order the re-abandonment of a previously abandoned well when construction of anVpo' <br /> structure over or in the proximity of a well could result in a hazard if the project will disturb the <br /> integrity of the abandoned wells. The cost of re-abandonment operations is the responsibility of <br /> the owner or developer of the project upon which the structure will be located. . <br /> Regardless, if this or any other abandoned or unrecorded wells are uncovered or damage during <br /> excavation or grading, remedial plugging operations may be required.
