• Past Uses of the Site
Based on information reviewed for the Surface & Subsurface Contamination Report
(Live Oak, 2017), the Site has been used for agriculture since 1937 or earlier. It has
been used primarily as an almond orchard, but corn and rice were also grown on the
Site.
Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
No septic systems are located on the Site.
Proposed Septic System
No new construction is planned.
On-Site Septic Permit History
Live Oak searched the septic system permits on file at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department; no permits were identified for the Site addresses.
Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
• To estimate the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic
systems located within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Aerial
imagery from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photograph was
assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that 22 or more
septic systems per square mile are present in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general area consists of orchards and agricultural land, with rural residences along
the roadways. A dairy is located approximately one-third of a mile northwest of the Site.
Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on a review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department for nearby properties, it appears that most septic systems in the
area utilize leach lines with sumps; one permit indicated a system with leach lines only.
The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of this report.
Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expected septic usage on the Site would be from potential future primary and
second unit dwellings on each parcel. No new construction is proposed.
•
LOGE 1809 Page 2
