Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be <br /> modified. <br /> A. A qualified environmental professional shall prepare a surface and subsurface contamination <br /> report, identifying any potential source of surface or subsurface contamination caused by past <br /> or current land uses. The report shall include evaluation of non-point source of hazardous <br /> materials, including agricultural chemical residues, as well as potential point sources, such as <br /> fuel storage tanks, septic systems, or chemical storage areas. If the report indicates there is <br /> contamination, corrective action shall be taken, as recommended in the report and concurred <br /> with by Environmental Health prior to approval of an Improvement Plan (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-905.12(a)(c)). <br /> B. Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study indicating <br /> that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must be performed prior to approval of an <br /> Improvement Plan (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A nitrate <br /> loading study is required, and a review fee of$445.00 must be paid at time of submittal to <br /> Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of <br /> septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal <br /> system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$89.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
