Ground water flows at a gradient ranges between three to five feet per mile to the west-
southwest in the vicinity of the Site for both maps.
`. No ground water was encountered by the staff of Neil O.Anderson&Associates,Inc. during the
drilling of eight percolation test holes to depths between three and 25 feet on June 22, 2005. C•3
'`. 4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for the
Lsoil suitability study. Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of sources
which often include leaky underground storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems,
and storm water infiltration. Agricultural activities and the use of septic systems in the area should
Lbe considered potential ground-water contamination sources.
4.3 Well Permit History and Water Sample Location
L
One domestic water well exists on the Site. One new well permit was found for the Site during file
review at EHD on November 7, 2005. The permit, dated 1976,was for the construction of a new
domestic well. The second permit, dated 1991,was for pump replacement at the same well. These
permits have been included in the appendix of this report.
` A water sample was taken from the domestic well head spigot at the water well by Steve O'Blia of ( •✓)
4
