1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT: 1.1 Description of Site: The project consists of a 10 acre parcel located at 700 S. Hewitt Road, Linden, California. The subject parcel number is 187-020-04. The project is in a rural residential community, and the existing parcel is zoned RIR (Rural Residential). 1.2 Description of proposed development: It is proposed to split a 10 acre parcel into four parcels, two 2 acre parcels, one 2.5 acre parcel, and one 3.5 acre parcel. In accordance with the San Joaquin County Development Title, this Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report (SSCR) is being submitted for approval. This report will investigate the property for visual or historical environment contamination based on field observation, interviews with the owner, and county records. (This SSCR includes no chemical analysis.) 1.3 Parcel Location Map: (See Appendix for Tentative Map with Vicinity Map, and APN page.) 1.4 Site Map: (See Appendix for Tentative Map.) 2.0 PAST, PRESENT, AND PROPOSED FUTURE USES OF THIS SITE: 2.1 Discussion of Past, Present and Proposed Future Uses: The primary source of information of the historic use of this property is testimony of the owner, Melody Rodriguez. The owner was interviewed on February 22, 2007. The Rodriguez's family has owned the property for approximately 20+ years. The land use has not changed under their ownership. Presently the property includes the main residence, a modular home, hay barn, 2 car garage, old house/storage, a portable pole barn, a coop/storage, and grazing land. The surrounding properties to the north and south are used for rural residential purposes. East of the existing parcel is an abandoned railroad casement and vineyard, and to the west is grazing land. At this time, there are no immediate plans for development except to subdivide subject parcel. 3.0 IDENTIFICATION OF ALL PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION: 3.1 Methods Used to Research: Methods used to research this parcel were records researched at the San Joaquin County Agriculture Commissioners office on February 15, 2007 (see appendix for results). An onsite survey was performed on February 22, 2007 by Mike Toy of Dillon & Murphy. The owner was interviewed on February 22, 2007 by �l Mike Toy of Dillon &Murphy. Research was performed on the subject site as required by County regulations. 3.2 Description of All Past On-Site Potential and/or Known Above and Below Ground Sources of Contamination Identified at the Project Site., Past on-site potentials for contamination are low.
