F
Historically there have been no underground storage tanks. The owner has no knowledge of
above ground storage of chemicals on the subject parcel. A search for use reports and permits
F, did not yield any concerns for sources of contamination. (See Appendix.)
3.3 Description of All Current On-Site Potential/or Known Above and Below Ground
F" Sources of Contamination Identified at the Project Site: Presently there are no underground
storage tanks on the property and visual inspection did not produce any evidence of buried
containers, as well as no odors that would be associated with buried chemical tanks. There are
Fno storage tanks above ground. There are no above ground fuel tanks on the site. The site
contains an existing homesite, modular home, hay bam, garage, and two storage buildings.
Located behind one of the storage buildings are some old propane tanks. There are no drainage
t courses through the property. On-site storm water is contained on-site and dissipates through
either percolation or evaporation.
F, 3.4 Description of All Past Off-Site Potential and/or Known Above and Below Ground
Sources of Contamination Identified in the Area of the Project Site: Past off-site potential
for contamination is low. The subject parcel is located in rural residential community. The
railroad has been abandoned for many years. Therefore, the abandoned railroad easement and
vineyard to the east do not pose any significant contamination concerns.
F3.5 Description of all Present Off-Site Potential and/or Known Above and Below
Ground Sources of Contamination Identified in the Area of the Project Site: Present
off-site potential for contamination is low. There is no knowledge of below ground sources
1 - of contamination in the area of the project site that or may impact the project site.
4.0 EVALUATION OF PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF
CONTAMINATION IDENTIFIED AT OR NEAR THE SITE AND
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER ACTION:
4.1 Evaluation of Each Potential and/or Known Source of Contamination Identified for
any Real and/or Potential Threat to Human Health and Environment: The depth to ground
i water in this area is approximately 1.40 feet. Due to this depth, any pesticides, insecticides, and
fertilizers used on the property in the past or present would have a minimal impact to the ground
water.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS SECTION
F INFORMATION SECTION:
51 Discussion of the Above Evaluation: There are no chemical containers for-fuel storage
tanks on this site; thus, the potential for contamination is low. As was stated above, any
pesticides, insecticides, and fertilizers used on the site do not pose any significant potential for
7
contamination to the project site, and no mitigation measures are recommended.
F
F
F2
c:107051Contamination Report 022007
