,. 23 September 2005
AGE-NC Project No. 05-1330
LUST Database:The LUST database is an inventory of reported releases from underground storage
tanks (USTs). Studies suggest that petroleum hydrocarbons leaking from underground fuel tanks
rarely travel more than 250 feet from the point of release (Lawrence Livermore Laboratory,
16 October 1995), which minimizes the potential of sites with these type of releases to adversely
impact down-gradient properties; however, oxygenated fuel additives(i.e.,methyl tert-butyl ether-
MTBE) have recently been documented to migrate greater distances than petroleum hydrocarbons.
The LUST database list included eight sites within a'/2-mile search radius of the subject property;no
sites were the subject property or adjacent properties. Of the eight surrounding properties, four were I
closed sites and one was a soil-only site over 1,510 feet from the property. The two remaining sites
were approximately 1,491 and 2,350 feet equi-gradient from the subject property.
I
Based on the distance from the subject property,AGE found no indication from the EDR report that
these sites are of environmental concern to the subject property.
No other listings on other databases were found within the ASTM Standard E 1527-00 minimum
search distances.
Orphan Sites: The orphan summary list consists of sites lackin_ fficient
su .ihfo_rmation for EDR to 1
map their locations. Five sites were on informational database listings, none appeared to be the
subject property or adjacent properties. Thirteen sites were on databases listing sites of potential
environmental concern; none appeared to be the subject property or adjacent properties. The listed
orphan sites appeared to be either more than '/2-mile from the property, or to have insufficient
addresses to determine the location. Based on the status, distance and direction from the subject
property,AGE found no indication from the EDR report that these sites are of environmental concern
to the subject property.
Public Well Information: The EDR report identified no Federal,or State Water wells within a Ye-
mile radius of the subject property.
Oil and Gas Wells: The EDR report references California Oil and Gas Well information as
additional environmental record sources. No Federal or State wells were found within a one-mile
radius.
A copy of the EDR report is included in Appendix D.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
