T11;5
i Past Uses of the Site S
Mrs. Ima Teem and Clifford Teem indicated the Site was residential property from (2-/)
approximately 1915 until recently.
Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
According to an Environmental Health Department sewage permit (see below), the h'
existing septic system is composed of a 2,000 gallon tank, three 60-foot leach lines, and
three 42-inch diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pits and was built in 1990.
Proposed Septic System
According to Ms. Teem, the new church building will utilize the existing septic tank with
a new leach field.
On-Site Septic Permit History
Two septic system permits were found for the former on-Site residence during file 00)2
review at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. In February 1972
an addition was made to an existing system. One 80-foot leach line with one 33-inch /3 ,3
diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pit was added. In July 1990 a new system was
installed at a new residence'on the Site, located southwest of the first residence. The
new system utilized one 2000-gallon tank, three 60-foot leach lines, and three 42-inch
diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pits. The permit indicted that the wooden tank at the
first residence was to be abandoned. /mss 4*W_-1
One permit for a water well pump replacement was also identified for the Site. All
permits for the Site are attached in Appendix 4.
Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
To determine the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic
systems that exist approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo
imagery from GoogleEarthT°" was used. Each building cluster on the photo was
assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, we determined that there is a
minimum of 115 septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general area consists of rural residential, commercial, and light industrial
properties. A mobile home park is located south of Cherokee Road.
LOGE0914 Page 2
