COrreetEve Action Plan 3 <br /> TIM,.Oil Company PropertyNo 04-049 14000 Fast Highway 88 Lockeford,CA September 8 1998 <br /> 22 PREVIOUS INVESTIGATI®NS <br /> Previous environmental activities and investigations conducted at the site have included the <br /> following <br /> Cl Replacement of 3 underground storage tanks (USTs) in 1991 <br /> 0 Drilling of 26 soil borings between 1992 and 1996 <br /> C:l Installation of eight soil vapor inlet/extraction wells (W-1 through W-8) between <br /> 1992 and 1993 <br /> 0 Installation of 10 (MW-1 through MW-10) groundwater monitoring wells between <br /> 1994 and 1995 <br /> 11 Performance of soil vapor extraction(SVE) tests in 1992 and 1998 <br /> Q Groundwater monitoring and sampling since the first quarter of 1995 <br /> In September 1991 as part of a facility upgrade, three USTs were removed from the Site by Scott <br /> Company In addition, pump islands and dispensers were removed and replaced After removal <br /> of USTs and pump islands, soil samples were collected from the tank and pump island excavations <br /> The highest levels of petroleum hydrocarbons were found beneath the 6,000 gallon and the 8,000 <br /> gallon USTs at 8,900 parts per million (ppm) and 6,700 ppm total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> gasoline (TPHg), respectively (Table 3) Soil samples analyzed for total lead were below the <br /> laboratory detection limit Approximately 150 cubic yards of soil was removed from the UST and <br /> pump island excavations Soil samples collected from the excavated soil after it was stockpiled <br /> indicated it contained levels of petroleum hydrocarbons up to 2,700 ppm TPHg and 0 98 ppm <br /> benzene This soil was returned to the excavation as backfill to be remediated concurrently with the <br /> rest of the Site <br /> In September 1992, a preliminary Site assessment was conducted by Canome Environmental to <br /> further evaluate subsurface conditions at the Site This investigation involved drilling a total of nine <br /> Time OE11Lockeford\CAP wpd <br />
