FINDINGS <br /> 41 STRATIGRAPHY <br /> Predominantly sandy silts to silty sands were encountered from surface grade to a depth of 20 feet <br /> and from 27 feet to 38 feet Moderately sorted medium to fine-grained sands were encountered from <br /> 20 to 27 feet Silty clay was encountered from 38 feet to 43 feet Moderately sorted medium-grained <br /> sands were encountered from 43 feet to 55 feet Gravelly sands to sandy gravels were encountered <br />' from 55 feet to the bottom of the sampling zone(70 to 75 feet) Boring logs are included in Appendix <br /> A <br /> 42 FIELD AND LABORATORY RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES <br /> Organic vapors were detected in soil samples collected from boring B9 from depths of 25 feet to 70 <br /> feet at concentrations of up to 646 ppm No organic vapors or hydrocarbon odors were detected in <br /> boring B10 <br /> A total of six soil samples from boring B9 were analyzed for TPH-g and BTE&X TPH-g was <br /> detected in sample B9-35 at a concentration of 9,100 ppm, BTE&X were detected at concentrations <br /> of 1 8 ppm, 15 ppm, 48 ppm and 430 ppm, respectively Benzene and xylenes were detected in <br /> sample B945 at concentrations of 0 006 ppm and 0 006 ppm Petroleum hydrocarbons were not <br /> detected in any other soil sample analyzed <br /> 1 <br />
