Rehabilitation may be completed sooner as agreed upon by Teichert and San Joaquin County. Background Conditional use permit EP-84-10 entitles Teichert to mine three properties known as Flintkote, Mitchell-Sexton and Traina West, with aggregate material being processed at the adjacent Tracy Plant Site. Mining has been complete at all three properties, with reclamation sign off being completed for both Flintkote (2007) and Mitchell-Sexton (2004). The remaining Traina West properties reclamation work is nearly complete. The grading of the properties into a two terraced agricultural field has been complete, and revegetation is currently underway with completion scheduled by the end of October 2016. The final step in completing reclamation will be monitoring.The Financial Assurance Mechanism will remain in place until reclamation sign off is complete. Conclusion Teichert Aggregates respectfully requests that the Planning Commission approve the requested Revisions of Approved Action by updating the requested language to Condition 15 of EP-84-10. The proposed revision to the Conditions of Approval will not change the end use or alter any of the adopted environmental mitigation measures or other Conditions of Approval.
