PA-0800005 OF TRACY MATERIALS <br /> RECOVERY AND TRANSFER STATION (APN: 253-130-19 & 26) <br /> (ADDRESS: 30703 S.MACARTHUR DRIVE, TRACY) <br /> The project is a Use Permit application for an expansion of an existing solid waste <br /> processing and recycling facility on a previously approved 39.2 acre site. The operation will <br /> be expanded by 12.5 acres to the south and the total site area will consist of 51.7 acres. <br /> The project includes the expansion of 19,200 square feet to the existing 57,200 square foot <br /> material recovery facility and transfer station building which contains the tipping floor and <br /> other operational activities, for a total building area of 76,600 square feet. Additionally, the <br /> project includes the addition of 10,500 square feet to the existing 10,920 square foot <br /> maintenance/administration building for a total of 21,420 square feet. The proposed project <br /> includes the establishment of CDI (Construction and Demolition Inert debris) processing, <br /> wood waste grinding, appliance recycling, equipment storage, truck parking, and <br /> associated waste handling activities. The project will increase the capacity of the facility <br /> from 1,000 tons per day of municipal solid waste and recycling services to 2,500 tons per <br /> day. The project will employ 160 persons. Due to the various types of waste handling <br /> activities and recycling services the facility will operate a total of 24 hours a day seven (7) <br /> days a week. (Use Type. Major Impact Services) <br /> The 51.7 acre parcel is located on the west side of S. MacArthur Drive, 1.1 miles south <br /> of Linne Road, south of Tracy. The parcel has a General Plan designation of A/G <br /> (General Agriculture) and is zoned AG-40 (General Agriculture 40 acre minimum). <br /> The Community Development Department has reviewed the project and offers the <br /> following comments: <br />
