Project Description <br /> Tracy Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Station <br /> 30703 S. MacArthur Dnve, Tracy, California 95377 <br /> TRACY MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITY <br /> AND TRANSFER STATION EXPANSION <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> Project Overview <br /> This project involves the expansion of the existing Tracy Material Recovery <br /> Facility and Transfer Station (MRF/TS). The facility includes a municipal solid <br /> waste (MSW) Transfer Station, Material Recovery Facility, a mixed construction <br /> and demolition debris processing facility, and inert debris processing facility, and <br /> a composting facility within the jurisdiction of the County of San Joaquin south of <br /> the City of Tracy. <br /> The facility opened in May 1995 and currently serves the City of Tracy, and <br /> unincorporated, southwestern portions of San Joaquin County, including the <br /> Mountain House community, for the recycling of source-separated recyclabies, <br /> commingled recyclables, commercial and industrial rubbish, green material and <br /> wood wastes, construction and demolition wastes, and inert debris, to reach the <br /> diversion goals of AB 939. The project applicant, Michael Repetto, of Tracy, <br /> California, owns and operates the MRF/TS (and affiliated collection companies) that <br /> �... have provided solid waste collection and recycling services to the City of Tracy and <br /> surrounding communities for over 50 years. <br /> The facility is currently permitted to accept and process 1,000 tons per day over <br /> 51.7 acres. The facility operations area is proposed to be expanding by 12.5 <br /> acres to the south and increase the peak tonnage to 2,500 tons per day to <br /> accommodate a 20-year Master Plan to 2028 as part of a Solid Waste Facility <br /> Permit Revision. <br /> Site Location <br /> The existing 39.2 acre site (Assessor Parcel Number 253-130-19) for the Tracy <br /> MRF/TS is located at 30703 South MacArthur Drive, just south of the City of Tracy <br /> in unincorporated San Joaquin County, as shown on the attached Site Location <br /> Map. Access to the site is via MacArthur Drive. A 12.5 acre parcel to the south is <br /> being added to the permitted operations area to accommodate the relocated <br /> Construction and Demolition Debris Processing Facility, the Wood Waste <br /> Processing Area, and ancillary facilities. <br /> Existing Entitlements <br /> The project applicant currently owns and operates the MRFITS with entitlements <br /> granted with the approval of UP-93-4, by San Joaquin County Planning <br /> 170.18 CUP Project Des 050710 <br /> ES-1 <br />
