Project Description—Report of Composting Site Information
Tracy Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Station
30703 S. MaG4rthur Drive, Tracy, California 95377
evaporation 100 hundred percent of the required volume of storage within 10 days. Figure
4 and 8 depict the location and size of the storm water control components.
As described in Section 4.3, storm water runoff from the wood storage and yard waste
compost concrete pad area will be treated separately from other runoff at the site, and will
drain to an on-site clay-lined evaporation pond.
The volume of the lined, evaporation pond was designed for a drainage area of 90,000
square feet using a monthly wet-season water balance, plus the volume generated by
the 100-year/24 hour storm during the most critical period. If empty, the pond can
accept the 100-year/24-hour rainfall volume over 5.3 acres with 2-feet of freeboard
remaining. The volume within the 2 feet of freeboard is capable of holding the 100-
year/24-hour rainfall over an area of 3.9 acres. Prior to increasing the size of the
compost area, the evaporation pond will be resized with updated rainfall information
using currently accepted methods.
Site Plan
Please refer to Appendix A for the following drawings. The drawings provide the
following information for the compost facility:
Figure No. 1 . EBA Master Site Plan and Vicinity Map
Figure No. 5 .
